Mungo National Park was one of the first places I intended to visit upon arriving in Australia, but severe flooding forced its closure. I felt like an unfinished trip, something I had to return to.
Before leaving Australia, I finally returned, and this time I was able to explore it. Walking through its ancient, eroded landscapes, I felt a deep connection to history.
The dry lake beds, the stunning sand formations, and the peaceful, open space made it feel breathtaking.
Visiting Mungo before leaving Australia felt like closing a circle. It was a reminder that some journeys take time, but they always find their way back to you.
